Good grief!

The news media never ceases to amaze me!

Folks, if you think you are getting any real news when you tune in, please think again. In a recent article I posted at EdNailor.com, I discussed how the news media is using misleading headlines in order to sell ad time. The evidence I witnessed last night was overwhelming!

It is sad that today our news media is more focused on headlines that keep you glued, than on actual facts and real stories. So many reports are now laced with conjectures, assumptions, and what-ifs. And then there is the blatant misleading of the general public.

No wonder so many people think that buying real estate right now is scary! All they hear is the horror stories!

Check out the most recent example of the news media misleading the public at http://www.ednailor.com/2008/02/13/misleading-news-media/. And then you will see what I still say that you should ignore most of what you hear in the media.

In relation to real estate, I will continue to let as many people as I can know that NOW is the BEST TIME TO BUY A HOME IN CHARLOTTE NC! And in most of the country, this is the case. I know that in Charlotte mortgage rates are low! There is a great selection of homes for sale in Charlotte!

Take advantage of the real market! Get out there and buy a home now!

yes, we have to keep them accountable, but really they have been misleading people for some time.

The news media may not have caused the market to go south, but they are definitely compounding the problem by scaring everyone to death.

Ed,  Quite frankly, now IS the time to buy:  The selection of homes is good and the mortgage rates are very near all-time lows!  Isn't it amazing that the press continues to conjure up such a negative story with their speculations and produce little factual information to back it up!
