I have to comment and perhaps alert those of you that may be interested to how one of our local Waco TX newspapers is spreading local news. Yes, you got it, by including multiple blogs!

The entire online version of the Waco Tribune is loaded with blogs about nearly everything. The daily news blog is my favorite, but is unfortunately not maintained during weekends. Either way, the blog is great and keeps you alert to the latest happenings and to me is just as up-to-date or more up-to-date as some of the latest breaking news.

Other blogs include blogs about Neighborhoods, Baylor Bears, Moms, Dads, Pets, Religion...you name it. The latest blogs I noticed  about the Local Music Scene and Local Election 08.

Waco Tribune Blogs

Now I almost think the blogs are overtaking the traditional type news articles, but I like it! I love the raw, personal take on things. It's refreshing compared to what we normally witness when reading the newspaper or watching the news on TV. To me, it's REAL where the other junk is just that, too much of the time, Junk.

I encourage and invite you to take a look at the Waco Tribune Online site whether you are interested in our area or not. I think it's a very unique experience compared to that of any other Newspaper web site I have visited. Some of the information is universal, you don't have to live in Waco to find it of use. I am curious to see if you like the format as much as I do.

Relating all of this to Active Rain...well I like the Waco Trib's format for some of the same reasons I like Active Rain. I get the most current information regarding my profession in a very personal, REAL way.  The information is priceless for consumers and professionals alike.

Wendy this is great.  Thanks for sharing.  BTW, have we ever met?  It seems to me we may have a long time ago.  You just look so familiar to me.  Think about it and let me know.  I used to live in Granbury and Ft. Worth.

Hi Ricki-thanks for taking the time to stop by and read my blog. I really like what the paper is doiing here blog-wise. Not sure if we've ever met unless you spent some time in the military?
