Good morning all- Here in my neck of the woods It is 80* with 80% humidity which makes working in the garden like working in a sauna. The high will be 89* This whole week is scheduled to hit the 90's with tomorrow being the hottest at 93*.  So I will be taking a break from the yard work and take Mom's dog Heidi to the groomer and then have lunch with a friend.

This afternoon I will be spending some time in the pool. The one thing you have to make sure to do in this weather is stay hydrated so I am taking frequent water breaks in front of the fan. Make it a great Monday. I would love to add a photo but can't upload any or see anybody's profile pic or anybody's pics in their blogs. I found out today I am not the only one. Hope the glitch is fixed quickly.

Michael-I am done outside for now other than the pool after lunch. Inside work now. I still am having issues with the pics but now I am not the only one. Have a great day.

Gary-I drink a LOT of water this time of year, even more when I am outside working. I enjoy the pool even though you joke it is small. Big enough to cool me down and float around and relax. Not something I do enough. I take frequent water and fan breaks.

Mark and Tim-I think that is happening a lot across the country. Have a great week

Kerrie-I will try that. Thanks. I use Firefox.

Alexandra-I am tired already. I get up early and work before it gets too hot but the back and forth between the hot and AC wipes me out. I use Firefox and it isn't working on there.

Stay cool and hydrated my friend.  I wish I had a pool to hang out in.  One of the reasons I love visiting my brother Anthony in Florida.  I spend most of my time in the pool.  Temps here are in the 80's also and humidity almost as high, some days higher.

Float the afternoon away - sounds perfect!!!   We're under a heat advisory and I'm counting the days to when I can realistically expect snow :)

I went for a swim this morning, down here in Naples, we call it "stay cool by the pool" but there is always a breeze.  My mom is in Baltimore and I know it is bad up there too.  Say hydrated!

Thank you Kristin. No secret just keeping the calorie count at about 1400 a day and sticking to that

Hi Sharon, On the news here and probably in your area they keep warning everyone with health issues to just stay indoors if possible and to check in on the elderly and keep animals out of harms way also.

Too hot for too long.

Great that you have the option of a swim in a pool....

Take care,

Gloria

it's just raining here again.  Seriously we have NO DROUGHT this summer, of course when the sun does pop out that humidity left behind is killing me and not doing much to help my hair either.

Tammy-It will be raining again here tomorrow and Monday. No drought here either. This is the rainest Spring since I been here. When the sun comes out it is like the temps jump about 20* and the humidity is a killer. It is truly like living in a sauna when I am outdoors which is almost daily. It is good pool weather but not much else.

It's been so hot here lately....unbearable actually.  We didn't have air conditioning in our home and we finally broke down and got one.  Thank God!  I hope you have found some relief from the heat and get back to your gardening soon!

OMG-Can't imagine this heat without A/C. I do get relief two ways. The A/C and the pool. I like the pool best. Refreshing. The A/C can get too cold at times. I am glad you finally got A/C. It has been humid and opressive. I am still gardening but take frequent breaks.
