I’ve been MeMe’d by Duane Marlink/ Sue Prins . Hmm. 5 things about me that you don’t’ know. Kind of a scary thing to put out here.
1. I have 15 brothers and sisters. There are seven older and seven younger. I will be posting more in detail of my brother’s and sisters. My Grandparents on my dad’s side had 21 children (ten boys and 11 girls or was it the other way around?). My Grandparents on my mom’s side had 9.
2. I was born in Brooklyn New York in the fabulous fifties. I lived there for the first nine years of my life then we relocated to the United States Virgin Islands. Now there was a great time in my life. A constant party. It had to be one of the greatest times of my life.
3. I’m the proud father (yes proud) of 3 daughters and 3 grandkids. I’m fiercely loyal to my girls. They all have a special place in my heart. My youngest daughter is studying to be a doctor. The middle one is studying business and the oldest one is a mom to my 3 grandkids.
4. I’m a very accomplished cook. I’ve learned from one of the best. My mom. My specialty is fried chicken. If you’re ever here in GR (during the summer) and I have the inclination I will whip it up for you. I host dinner and a movie at my home. I make the main course and everyone brings a dish to pass. We watch 2 movies with an intermission in between (just like the real theater). I do have a home theater here so why go out in this weather.
5. I’m an avid reader and music buff. I love jazz, r&b, rock and now I have embraced contemporary Christian music. I love great suspense novels (Robert Ludlum, Sidney Sheldon, John Grisham and the like). My musical tastes are but not limited to (Jean Luc Ponty, Special EFX, Steps Ahead, Al Jarreau, David Sanborn). Nothing like a quiet evening listening to music.
Now that was not that painful. But when people are looking at you you feel as thought the microscope is above your head. But at least you can get a snapshot of that person’s life.. Thanks (for the people who nominated me) for the opportunity to share a little bit about me.
