I've written before about how much I enjoy seeing the transformation of damaged and/or dated houses into sound and beautiful homes. It is satisfying - and fun - just to see how drastically they can change. And also very satisfying and fun to see how pleased buyers (and the neighbors) are when they see the finished results.
This recently renovated house was not exactly a disaster in its "before" stage, but it was really dated (very early 90's) and a good portion of the main floor needed drywall and flooring replaced from some water damage caused by a dishwasher hose mishap.
So, the kitchen initially had upper cabinets only....and looked like this:
The master bathroom had a nice layout - but definitely needed to be updated - here's how it looked at the start of the project:
The other upstairs bathroom also needed a facelift, from this:
My very favorite contractors, Those Guys Construction, came to the rescue to get this home in gorgeous shape to make listing it and getting it sold pretty darn quick and easy. There were lots of other things done during the renovation, but let's take another look at how those rooms you saw "before" turned out....
The kitchen at its gleaming and updated best:
The master bath with some really artistic tile work as the focal point for the changes:
The other upstairs bath looking like fresh and appealing:
One of the best things about the transformations was to hear the reaction of neighbors and even a family member of the former owners who came to the open house when the house first hit the market - yep, they thought it came out really, really nice! (Me too!)
Can't wait for the next project to begin!!
