Maine License Plates Shout It Out "Vacationland"! 500,000 Dollar Tourism Website Injection!

In a time when state, federal, and local governments are on weight watcher budget review, looking for slack to reduce spending, Maine's Tourism Office has turned up the heat on its website, www.visitmaine.com . The decision to inject a half million dollars to beef up the site design, functionality and maintenance to keep it lightning fast and user friendly. In fact Maine's Tourism Office budget is up a million dollars from last year's 7.5 million dollar level. Where did the money come from? In part, Maine's office that coordinates beating the drum for what a neat place "Vacationland" is for the world to know about, has decided to pull back the reins on print advertisements run nationally. Maine's tourism arm is using some of those print advertising promotional silver bullets to beef up its internet presence. If you have not landed at the site, do so and enjoy recent upgrades that include delicious images dripping with eye candy appeal, videos and no stone left unturned copy on what the weblogs show come out as most requested search terms. If you cleared your schedule, and have some quality vacation time coming that you are long over due for, what would you like to do while in Maine? Eat lobster and clams, go fishing, hike Cadillac or Mt Katahdin, paddle the Allagash Wilderness Waterway, sea kayak, white water raft the Kennebeck, Dead or Penobscot rivers, swish swish Sugarloaf, Sunday River or a slew of other snow covered mountains? Shop Bar Harbor, Camden, Kennebunk, Freeport or Kittery outlets? Cruise in on a 10 story ocean hotel parked off the Maine coast? Snowsled the 3500 miles of Aroostook County snowmobile trails? Or sled into Greenville / Moosehead area for a few days of feet up, a beverage in hand and a roaring fire in a log chalet? Visit www.visitmaine.com and start planning...stop dreaming and make the Maine "vacationland" escape happen for you and your family! Real estate brokers sell more than property, they promote and "sell" the area of Maine that people want to experience and discover. Don't keep it a secret, shout it out and blog about your state's fun recreational, scenic attractions to get customers here that spend money while considering buying Maine real estate in the right hand corner of the country!

My son (a trombonist) spent some time in Bar Harbor playing a gig. He LOVED it, but almost hit a moose.

Love the motto "The way life should be." Maybe I'll rip it off..."The way real estate should be."

I have spent time in various parts of Maine and remember to this day the blueberry pancake restaurant in Maine just across the line from New Hampshire and very near a small amusement park. That was always the last place we stopped on the final day of vacation for breakfast. I have said for years that I would return...and someday I will. Of course Bar Harbor in the early to mid 80's was a wonderful place. You present Maine in a very nice light.
