Forced to use to use Google+. Here we go again.

Did your page one rank on Google drop a little bit over the past few days?

If your site dropped down one position or five slots or more this week... my bet is you're like a boatload of other brokers and agents simply ignoring Google+ -- Googke's answer to awhat they think a social media platform should be.

Google's PandaOn July 18th, Google tweaked the PANDA bear and sent it out crawling the Internet with an improved algorithm and with this update, came more bad news we need to be prepared for.

Matt Cutts at Google said that rolling PANDA updates (I call them spanking black outs) will be taking place every month.

For ten days each month -- PANDA will be roaming the Internet finding Websites and tweaking their ranking up or down based in part on this new tweak.

If your site doesn't measure up to the algorithmic tweak -- your website gets "spanked," and they drop you a few positions, or a few pages down the ladder.

If you already enjoy a nicely ranked web page right now on Google's first page search and you have 40+ circles and a few hundred connections -- my Spidey Sense is telling me you're probably safe.

For the rest of the agent and broker websites that have never set up a Google+ account or have ignored it for a few months... this is "WRITING on the wall," to get this fixed and pronto.

Suffice it to say, Google doesn't make any money from you enjoying a naturally ranked, page one website when people go hunting for a real estate agent or a home in your town. That process helps drive the machine with dead Presidents to pay for the two or three positions on the top of Google and the 8 or so ad slots on the right column. The freebies on the LEFT is what drives the revenue on the RIGHT side ad words slots.

There's no argument that Google is turning into the world's Website police force by punishing those that might have bought 5,000 EDU back links from Fiverr.com for $5 dollars. As I like to tell all my REALTORs I coach:  There isn't a cheap or inexpensive short cut to getting naturally ranked on Google's page one today. If there was, I'd have found it by now.

WHAT TO DO IF YOU SUSPECT YOU'VE BEEN CAUGHT BY THIS PANDA UPDATE...

STEP ONE: Go to Google and either (a) Join the Google+ social platform.

STEP TWO: Make sure you add your personal photo and a bio about you NOT THE COMPANT or brokerage you work for. It has to be PERSONAL not business.

STEP THREE: Go to your website or blog and create your biography profile. Every time you write a blog or story, you will LINK a tiny piece of HTML CODE called the REL=AUTHOR tag.

When you do this, you get to enjoy instant (like same day or next day instant visibility) like this example below:

DO THIS: GOOGLE " where to live in park cities " without the quotes.

You might see this search result from my screen shot below:

Panda Proof SEO

NOTE: She has 85+ Google circles. Which means she's been a "busy beaver," at building her social network up by connecting with people on her Google+ account.

When Julie POSTS an article, she copies her REL AUTHOR tag into the post ans VIOLA!  -- she lands herself a page one rank for her article.

The process is not difficult to learn and I'll explain how to do this, step-by-step in a Marketing Sherpa report for $395.  That will be the price if you buy it from them later this fall.

Any ActiveRain agent or broker will get the same report for $149 if you contact me directly. This includes a phone call coaching session with me or Stephanie (my Co-pilot on this one).

The report will be published in August and includes a phone call review so I can show what to do and how to create Google friendly posts like these using the REL Author tag.

I am on G+ everyday and encourage others to do the same.  In addition to being able to get G+ posts ranked we have an incredible ability to easily reach out and interact with locals who are also using G+ (and are easy to find).  If you want more business you need to be utilizing G+ in your marketing model (IMO).

Absolute necessity to be using G+ in marketing. I am moderating a community and have found that since posting and interacting that  my blog posts are found more and more often. Content is the key and being a part of Google+ is super important. Make it a point to visit.

Blowing smoke dude! First of all the search you suggest does not deliver and results for that Realtor on page one of results. Second, the search "where to live in park cities" or more probable, "where to live in park city" has very low relevancy for a realtor when trying to market to prospects.
