All I did was... reno a 1980's bathroom to look awesome!

Home staging in Vaughan leads our company to reno the homes that the sellers move in to after we have staged their home for sale.

In our area these types of bathrooms are ubiquitous. No one really likes them but builders keep on installing them and so our work is never done. The floor tile is installed and carried up the tub side, deck and splash area. Very utilitarian in appearance. Does the job but really, does it entice you to get in to relax?

The vanity is built in, lots of room, two sinks for a busy family. But do you really want to start and end your day in this room?

After the reno this became the home owners favourite bathroom in the home out of all four that were renovated.

Mini subway tiles were installed in a waterfall style and carried as a focal point into the shower stall. A seamless glass wall and door was installed along with porcelain travertine 12" x 16"  tiles on the floor and walls in stacked pattern. We also created two niches in the shower wall for shampoo so that the home owner did not need to have a rack hanging off the shower head. Also, the lower niche is installed at a height so that you can use it as a place to rest  your foot while shaving your legs. A feature that more than one home owner has said was a thoughtful and useful touch in the bathroom reno and one that they would not have thought of doing on their own duing a renovation. It is these types of ideas that our company provides to make the overall reno a success.

A free standing double sink vanity was installed. Love those square sinks!

A matching 72" long mirror was added to create a visually expanded space. Even the floor register was changed out to brushed nickel. It is the tiniest details that make the differnce to the final look of a project.

Simple and effective changes brought this bathroom out of the last century and now it looks like it could be in a magazine photo.

Investment,  minimal.

Impact, priceless.

If you have a bathroom to reno and want it done on time and on budget call us to get the job done with the "Full Finnamore Effect" as one of our clients remarked.

HI Kathy, this bathroom definitely has the WoW factor now, it is so serene in this room now. Really liked the floor tiles in this reno.

HI Sharon, the leg shaving nook is one of my signature designs in a bathroom, the ladies love it! I am not a fan of having a seat in the shower or even worse a plastic step stool which many people in our area use.  This definitely looks a whole lot better and it makes the task much more comfortable to perform.

Hi Michelle...Although you are too far to help us with our bathroom renos I hope I remember your great idea about the nook to assist you when shaving your lets.

What do you suggest for the elderly or disabled if not a seat in the shower?

Have you ever tried using tile paint? I'm not interested in doing it in my home but some homes I've shown that have loads of pink or yellow wall tiles need an easy fix if there is such a thing.

Hi Kate, In the case of an elderly client I suggest that there is no sill at the entry point to the shower. That way they can be wheeled right into the shower. The base of the shower is sloped so that the water stays within the shower.

I have had my painter paint tiles for a back splash only.  I would imagine that if you prepare any surface correctly that you can paint it and have it last for a while.  I have had my painter paint faucets as well.

We paint counter tops all the time.

It really depends on the price point of the home and where the property is located.

HI Kate, you're welcome! Anytime.

HI Kwee, thank you for stopping in to see this reno bath... it really was quite a different bathroom when we were finished with it. The client said it was everyone's favourite of the five bathrooms that we worked on.

Hi Wendy, I liked this bathroom so much I am considering doing mine in the same tile. Thanks for stopping in.
