NATIONAL ICE CREAM DAY

It's National Ice Cream Day and so never let it be said that I am not patriotic. I am all about celebrating National Holidays and I certainly am not going to let this honey of a day go uncelebrated.

I just got back from the Five Penny Creamery on Park Avenue in Rockville Centre. They make their own ice cream and I might add they do it well. I always feel that the true test of an ice cream store is their vanilla. It is just pure ice cream no bells no whistles. The Five Penny Creamery makes an outrageous vanilla.

I am as I type, sitting at my desk enjoying vanilla ice cream with hot fudge. Be still my heart.

Liz- I'm not a huge ice cream eater, except for certain flavors. Of course, I could take most any of them as long as they were covered in hot fudge sauce.

Liz, now that I have seen this I have no choice but to head to my freezer when I get home and whip up a nice patriotic root beer float with some vanilla of my own, I see it as my duty now.
