Congratulations, Uno!

Isn't he cute!?!!? The winner of Best in Show at the 132nd Westminster Kennel Club Dog Show is this adorable 15-inch beagle named Uno.

The Vegas odds for Uno were 400 - 1!

We have owned a wonderful beagle named Snoopy for 7 years; I think that is equal to 49 in people years. He has been a wonderful pet and companion, always happy and affectionate. He loves going for long walks where he is led along by his nose! His favorite things are treats, breakfast, dinner, walking, and cuddling. He weighs in at a svelte 26 lbs. Wherever my husband and I are in the house is where Snoopy can also be found.

What a super cutie! How are beagles with kids & other pets? I've always thought they were darling.

Chris, Snoopy is great with kids. He always seems to know that they are children and not adults.

I was so happy to see a beagle win. They are the sweetest dogs.

Chris, I forgot to answer the second part of your question. Yes, Snoopy gets along very well with other dogs. My stepdaughter has 5 dogs and we left Snoopy with her for a week and they all got along great. When Snoopy first arrived on the scene at our house he was very small bundle of love but we had an elderly cat who lived out back on the covered deck due to my husband's cat allergies. At first Snoopy tried to play with the cat, Miss Beasley, but she had no interest in such foolishness and after she swatted him one day he kept a 3 foot safety zone around her. But he still tried to entice her to play. Then one day Miss Beasley made a decision and moved to the front yard... so I moved her food and water bowls to the front porch. After a year she surprised us by reappearing in the back yard, Snoopy didn't bother her, and they lived peacefully together until Miss Beasley's passing about two years ago.

Great to know. I have 2 cats who are probably bigger than a beagle and 2 rabbits. And a little poodle. I love learing about the different breeds and thinking about who might fit in with our zoo.
