There are countless activities that you can do to enjoy the summer sunshine here in Park City. Here are a few that come to mind:
-Spend the day at Park City Mountain Resort. There are four alpine slides, 2 different levels of zip lines, miniature golf course, bounce houses, bungee trampolines, alpine coaster, lift served mountain biking and more.
-Spend the day at the Utah Olympic Park. Here you will find a killer alpine slide, three different levels of ropes courses, two different levels of zip lines including the incredible extreme zip line, drop tower, summer bobsled rides, museum and even weekly aerial shows in the pool courtesy of the Flying Ace All Stars.
-Take the family on a float trip on the Weber or Provo Rivers. My sister guides the Weber River and I can tell you first hand it is a great way to spend an afternoon. Don't forget to stop at Taggart's for a late lunch or early dinner when you are through rafting.
-Take a ride on a hot air balloon. Any clear morning when the winds are low, which is most of them, you will see the hot air balloons in the Park City sky. Get a mile high view of the entire area and scout out the location for your perfect home away from home.
-Take a ride on the Canyons Resort mid mountain bike park. Ride the Red Pine Gondola where you will connect to the High Meadow chair for an afternoon of biking in the Canyons bike park. It opened last year to rave reviews and is even bigger and better this year.
-Take in a free concert at any of the many venues in the Park City area. There are free concerts almost every night of the week, sometimes in more than one location. Grab a blanket, a picnic lunch and enjoy.
-Ride the 8,000 foot trail from one end of Park City to another. This trail has been designated an "epic trail" by the International Mountain Biking Association.
-Take a chairlift ride at any of the three local resorts and enjoy a hike back down the mountains amid the wildflowers, just make sure you give the moose their space.
-Take a tour of Park City on the free bus that you can ride anywhere in town, get off, explore and hop back on until you get to another spot you would like to try.
-Browse the shops on Main Street. There is something for everyone here including even t-shirt shops and real estate offices, ha ha. Seriously, you will find many different merchants and some great spots to stop for a casual luch or dinner or even an adult beverage.
-On those two or three rainy days during the summer you can take the kids to Monkey Mountain. Park City's indoor playground.
-Spend the day in City Park. There is a playground, tennis, basketball and volleyball courts, football/rugby field, skateboard park and enough grassy areas that you can pick a different one every day for your shady picnic spot under the trees.
-Spend the day looking for that perfect home or investment property with everybody's favorite Park City Realtor, Scott Larson.
