Can Real Estate Apps Save You Time and Make You More Productive?

Just Because You Said it Doesn't Make it True

Every other week we take a look at a new section of ActiveRain Product Reviews. For the first time we are going back and revisiting one of the sections. Normally there is a method to our madness and revisiting the 'Real Estate Mobile Apps' section is no exception.

This week for product reviews we are taking another look at real estate mobile apps, because on Friday of this week, Bob Stewart is going to review 8 apps that were shared in a recent whitepaper about managing your business on the go during the summer. The reality is, you guys manage your business on the go all year round so some of these apps could make your life easier no matter what time of year it is.

(OK, this is Bob...and I'm writing this, so I'm done speaking in the third person. From now on, I is Bob...ok, I swear that was my last time in the third person, I'm confusing myself)

I don't always agree with everything I hear. In fact, my friends would definitely tell you that I like to take a contrarian point of view quite often. I'm just one of those people that doesn't believe something just because someone said it. I believe it because it jives with my view of the world. So when I saw this whitepaper, I decided I wanted to check out these 8 apps and see if they actually fit the bill of '8 time saving apps for your real estate business.' Just because some whitepaper says they save you time, doesn't mean they really do...right?

Join Us To Learn about 8 Mobile Apps that Could Save You Time

So we're combining the bi-weekly product review with a webinar on Friday, July 26th at 9am Pacific time (12pm Eastern Time) where I'll take a look at 8 mobile apps for your real estate business. In the webinar, I'll share with you what the app does, I'll ask you guys if you think it's worth using and then I'll give you my opinion (which I promise will be completely unfiltered. There's already one on the list that I just don't see anyone using to save time, yet alone using at all).

You read this far.....now what. Well the first thing to do would be to sign up for the webinar. You can do that by clicking the little button below.

When you register for the webinar, it will also give you the option of downloading the Real Estate Summer Road Kit, which includes the 8 apps we will be talking about in the class on Friday. That way, if you want to try them out a little bit you'll know whether we think alike, or you think I'm a moron.

The next thing we'd love for you to do (and remember, it's not because you get points for leaving reviews, although you do...it's because your peers will appreciate your review when they set out to decide whether or not to start using an app for their business) is to leave a review for any apps that you are currently using in your business. Here are a few that have been getting a number of reviews.

(In addition, you can find the entire list of 'real estate mobile apps' waiting for your reviews here)

Do You Use Any of These?

If you use any of these apps below, we'd love if you would click on the image and leave a review of the app.

Waze

This app allows you to find the best route to your next appointment. It factors in traffic conditions and gives you an ETA. In addition it also shows you where the cheapest gas can be found. Have you used it? Tell us what you think...

CamScanner

This app turns your smartphone into a portable document scanner. For all those times when you don't have your scanner/fax/printer handy in your car. We will be taking a look at this app in our webinar. Have you used it? Tell us what you think...

Open House Pro

This app is a tool you can use when hosting open houses. It allows you to collect information from the folks attending the open house in addition to giving you options to market the open house. We will be taking a look at this app in our webinar. Have you used it? Tell us what you think...

I use Waze all the time and love it.  I have found that there ETA times are spot on and it has saved me hours of sitting in traffic by providing realtime traffic conditions.  The big downside is that it uses lots of battery juice.  If you'll be using it, make sure you're connected to a car charger.

I haved used Open House Pro and find it extremely easy for myself and for clients/prospects.  It send an automatic email at the end of the Open House with the home information and picture and any customer email you set up or a default message.  Great tool!

I too have used Open House Pro now for several Open Houses and I love it. Customers coming to my Open House were very impressed with it as so many people have Ipads now it was a no brainer for most.... Funny thing was that I used it for my broker open tour and a lot of the agents hadn't even heard of it and were not inclined to even sign in on it.... Gotta go write a review for it now..... Sorry @BobStewart  We can't make the webinar but this is my two cents on this app.
