Let's Limbo!

By
Real Estate Broker/Owner with St.Cloud Homes

Let's Relax a little, and have some F U N! Limbo is like Real Estate. See Mr. Realtor here showing Mrs. Buyer how easy it is to do? How loooow will it go? Sure, set the pole high and they'll walk right through..no thought required. Move it down a notch...and another...and another and they begin to think about how they will proceed. Hmmm.  If the bar gets too low... it is like being upside down in a house...you can't get out from under it! The bar becomes the payment obligations, and no matter how well you bend, flex, and move..it is impossible to navigate your way under it... See Real Estate Can be FUN! Are you humming yet?  Let's look at the evolution of DANCE and how it Relates to Real Estate...

2005

The Conga Line of buyers....No one knows where the line is going but everyone wants to join in and be a part of it!

2006

As Frank Sinatra sang..."The Party's Over...It's time to call it a day"

.... lalala

To the Present:

Last Dance...last chance.... la la la la  The Market has gone the way of Disco.... It is Retro!

If you ever saw the cartoon with the two vultures in the tree in the middle of the desert. One looks to the other and says "patience my ass I'm going to kill something". That is the way I feel now, going to meet a buyer and show 5 homes in a half hour. This is our second time out, wish me luck....

Allison, This dang Kings English I'll get it right someday. I think what I meant was in a half hour I was going to show some homes. not show them in a half hour. By the way the buyer found about 7 more so we viewed twelve homes in all. I think we will make an offer on Saturday as we will now take the husband back to three of them. Pre-Approved buyer who works for the State of California and is approved through her retirement program Cal-PERS. Wish me Luck and I hope your busy streak lasts all year and for many more too.

I thought this was going to be about how low will a seller be willing to go on their purchase price becuase of the slow in the market and surplus of inventory.  But still a good analogy.  Thanks for sharing.

The end of last year fiinished strong for us, and January has started on a very upbeat note.  How long will it last?  Can't say!  This is the nature of real estate!  It is always a race. Some will see the race to the end, some wll look at it ans give up before it starts! Many in real estate will view it as the end of the world, to me it a major opportunity to succeed and reach the next plateau.

The ones that will not succeed, are the ones that are stuck in yesterday.  They will probably keep comparing it to the last 4 incredible years.  My motto, "These are the good old days!"
