            bellefonte mural

Driving down south Brandywine Boulevard in Bellefonte, Delaware,  you pass the firehouse on your right, and just as you get to the michael's barber shopcorner of Marion Ave. at the traffic light, you will see Michael’s Barber shop, with the familiar candy striped pole.

But those in the know will walk behind the barber shop to see the mural by Bellefonte artist Nicole Kristiana Logan, who took a week's vacation from her job to paint the mural. Her Delaware theme includes peach and holly trees, a squirrel, cat and rabbit,  swallowtail butterfies, and a sparkling fountain (which the artist hopes will inspire someone to contribute to the town).

Stop by on a summer Saturday morning, and you will find the Bellefonte Farmer's Market going strong just to the north of the barber shop.

Very pretty.  Another reason why we should all just take a stroll down main street in our towns and just take a good look.
