OK...so I get that the Melbourne Beach Market is not really a restaurant...in fact the only tables here are out in front of the Market. It is actually a grocery store, wine store (you will sometimes find some amazing buys on closeout wines), bakery, specialty food, deli, bakery and wonderful Italian restaurant.
The Italian Restaurant part is in the front past the wine and beer area...next to the deli and bakery. It is a take out counter with a full Italian menu suitable for lunch or dinner. You can also call ahead and it will be ready for pick up when you get there. They also serve pizza by the slice or pie,
The Deli/bakery section is a really great quick lunch spot and uses top quality meats (like Boars Head) along with some nice great special like Gyros and Falafel. They also have a pretty nice bakery counter with Italian and Greek specialties.
The food itself is very good. My boy and I went for lunch recently. I had Eggplant Parmigiana and my boy had a Meatball Sub. Both sandwiches were huge...in fact large enough to eat half and take half home for dinner or lunch the next day!
My suggestion: Come in to the market, order your dinner...it will take about 10 minutes or so. You will have some time to shop around. The market has a nice selection of ethnic (mostly Italian) foods as well as great wines. See if you can find a gem or two before heading home with a nice meal that you didn't have to cook!
The Melbourne Beach Market is located on Ocean Ave (the main drag) of Melbourne Beach, FL. It is directly east of the Library.
