Schlitterbahn in New Braunfels, Texas is the best waterpark I have ever been to by far, it’s fun for your friends and even your whole family. Like other locals in the state of Texas I am always looking for a place to cool off from the heat. Ever since I was of age to go to Schlitterbahn by myself I had always gotten my parents to drop me off with friends so I could go and have fun. When I was about 16 I got my first season pass and let me tell you, I went about every weekend when I had free time. The waterpark has about three different parks to it, two are connected and have things like a lazy river, wave pool, uphill waterslides, a pirate ship thing for the kids and a a surfing place where you can surf on waves made by machines that push the water through. On the other side of Schlitterbahn you need to take their buses to, that side has river rides with the actual rivers water where you can relax on a tube as the waters keep you flowing through the ride on a hot and sunny day, or if that’s not your cup of tea they also have just a regular pool area and Jacuzzi. The park has free parking and they allow you to bring your own food in and have your own family picnic within the park. If you are down for the summer you might as well just buy a season pass to Schlitterbahn because the price of an adult for one day is about $60 and the price for a season pass is about $150 So that’s why I used to get season passes all the time. I don’t think I’ll ever get tired of Schlitterbahn no matter how old I get, it’s great for my whole family and friends. The lines are a little long – but that typically happens when a great place hits #1 on the Travel Channel. New Braunfels is a small town but continues to grow every day and Schlitterbahn is just one thing in this city I couldn’t imagine not having elsewhere.
