Thanks Active Rain for the Google Power!
Yes, I've had many companies try to sell me ads on the front page of Google, or help me with my search engine optimization. However, ActiveRain has been a consistent performer for me in helping me be found on the first pages of Google for many search terms, including "Lynbrook High Homes", "Lynbrook High Homes for Sale", "San Jose homes in Cupertino schools" and more.
Interestingly, my blogs about Fourth of July fireworks in Silicon Valley and San Jose still show up on the first page of Google for searches on "San Jose Fourth of July fireworks" and "Silicon Valley Fourth of July events".
I know many of you have experienced the Google Power of Active Rain, but there may still be some non-believers out there who don’t believe in the blogging thing. I am here to testify that blogging not only works, but there is strong Google Power in Active Rain. It does take some time to build an internet presence, and whenever someone calls me, I always ask them, “How did you find me on the internet?”
I am presently working with another veteran, who found me on the internet. He told me that he just did a Google search, and entered real estate agent, and military in his search. So, I decided to try the same word combination myself, and I was excited to discover that I showed up on the first page of that search, and it was my Active Rain Profile page that was one the first page. Yes, I had seen many of my past posts on various topics show up, but to see my Active Rain Profile page was a first for me.
We all know that that the Big Three, Zillow, Trulia, and Realtor.com spend a lot money on SEO, and Google placement on the first pages. But becoming a Rainmaker, and a consistent blogger doesn’t cost nearly as much as what the Big Three is probably paying. I know I have often said that joining Active Rain was the Best Business decision I made three years ago. I have already closed several deals so far this year from clients who found me by searching online.
If you haven’t experienced the Google Power of Active Rain, you are missing out on having that extra business that can only come from having a very strong online presence. Active Rain is the only professional social networking platform that can take your business and education to all new levels with a little effort on your part. After all, “If you build it, they will come”.
