Lets look at the definition of a "Home Inspection"

As you can see it does not mention or promise of any financial gain or credit in the definition of a "Home Inspection" So me home inspectors sell themselves to clients as a way to renegotiate a price reduction, granted there are times issues will come up and the home seller may have to remedy the issue with the home or they do not, it's really up tp the home seller. So your never guaranteed that you will get a credit in the form of a price reduction
