Tropical Storm Flossie hit Maui yesterday evening with some really loud thunder and extensive lightning, along with very heavy rain.  Not a lot of total rainfall, but it sure came down fast.  There are reports of lightning hitting a home in Kahului, causing a hole in the roof, and possibly a person in another location.  There were power outages and some parts of Haiku are still affected by lack of water since the supply lines were affected by the power failure.  All in all it was not as bad as expected and today is bright and sunny as usual.
