The gap is growing and widening by the day between those Real Estate agents who are producing reasonably high numbers and the vast majority that are doing between nothing and a little less. Why??? Because the majority of these agents simply do not know how to list property. Why??? We didn’t have to know how to list property because Mr. REO (who has retired) furnished all the listings we could ever need and all we had to do then was take out the buyers we had … give them one of many choices … and they bought a home.
However, today, with Mr. REO being gone … we have an interesting dilemma. The majority of the agents simply do not know, understand how to, or have the motivation to go out and list property … which is why the gap is widening so quickly. Now, let’s be honest. If your goal is to do 5 to 10 transactions a year, stay in the battle working with your buyers … spend all your time searching to find a home to show your buyers … be one of 10 to 15 offers on every property listed for sale … and then pray that your offer gets accepted. On the other side, if you want to do 25/50/100+ transactions a year, take the next 60 days and learn how to prospect … do lead follow up … prequalify … and learn to make a great listing presentation so you can be part of the group that is watching the gap widen and be on the right side of the group who has all the income. Which side do you want to be on?
