Our Legacy on ActiveRain ---and Our Written Words

Reblogger Carla Muss-Jacobs, RETIRED

I wanted to reblog this since it's timely!  Sally writes about the Real Estate Network we develop.  Not only that, but how close we can feel to each other.

Just this week I asked Sally to reach out to my son, Carlson, who is on Oahu for the next month or so.  He's there on business and felt a little out of sorts.  Not knowing anyone, that type of thing.  I emailed Sally and geve her Carlson's phone and email and she is a sweet heart and called him right away!  He was thrilled to have received her call . . . I know your Mom from Active Rain.

Three cheers to Sally . . . Hip, hip hooray!!

We have been growing our ActiveRain Real Estate Network since the summer of 2006. It has grown into one of the largest real estate platforms that have a ‘hands on approach’ with the staff helping all of us to achieve a common goal.

MORE BUSINESS.

While being a member on ActiveRain since March of 2007 I have tried to be a driving “POSITIVE” source in ActiveRain.  It never fails to amaze me how we can take a negative and turn it into a positive. ….OR Vice Versa.

DO YOU DRIVE READERS AWAY FROM YOUR BLOG?

The Legacy We Leave Behind: I’ve always believed that we live …and we die and it’s what we do IN BETWEEN those two life events is what REALLY matters. We live our every day lives with good morals and values and we leave a lasting impression on our children, relatives, friends and even business associates. My ONLINE legacy and Presence IS a positive one and it is what I want to be remembered for.

Stir the Pot:  Some think that stirring the pot in a negative way is a great way to gain readership. Negativity breeds negativity.  Like kind attract like kind people. Okay, we all know that those that feel the need for attention will get a load of comments from others who feel they have been ‘wronged’. Those that focus on what others have …well, I feel sorry that they do not realize their FULL potential and what they DO have instead of focusing on what they have not. Cup Half Full or Pouring Out Empty?

Online Presence:  How we write online will affect our businesses, our connections and definitely our referrals. Write a condescending blog or comment and it will drive the consumer away from YOU.  Online words are out there to STAY. And get this—ANYONE is able to sign up on ActiveRain. You think a Members Only Post will not be read by the consumer. Again---ANYONE can join this real estate network and will read your blog. Choose to blurt out personal feelings against this network and you will have a truckload of us who believe in stewardship.

Real Estate Network:  Most of us are Real Estate Professionals and even those that have nail salons and such are part of the business community and use this network to ….NETWORK.  We network to connect as professionals and more often than not we MAKE FRIENDS along the way! I have received referrals and given referrals and THIS is the type of SUCCESS that I measure for my connections made here in the RAIN!

We Network and Connect……

And Content is King……

The Legacy We Leave Behind...

Online, ActiveRain....and LIFE.

Good post. It is better to have a positive attitude then a negative one. At the same time, it helps to vent to maintain a positive attitude.

Carla, this was a great choice for a re-blog.  I'm often amazed at the people who use this platform mostly for stuff ike political rants.

Carla,  Sally has a pure heart and soul. I believe this is the second post of yours that shares how someone here in the Rain has helped your son. Sally here and someone else who helped him decorate his place in LA.  AR has so many great people ... most of which will do anything they can to help a fellow Rainer.
