Stage a Star had the opportunity to work with Channel 9 -WCPO TV Cincinnati on a real estate staging story they wanted to do. It had been in the works for months and I knew it was coming...just not sure when. So a few weeks back as I'm sitting at my desk looking forward to some quiet time to get my piles of office work done....I get THE phone call. Yep...it's the Channel 9 reporter wanting to film the story as soon as possible. Of course, I'm excited and now it's time to start making the calls to see if I can get one of my clients to participate in the filming. So much for my quiet morning......
I got lucky because the first call I made...the client was all for participating! Yeah! Lori had called Stage a Star about staging her house and we were in the middle of writing a proposal when I had gotten the call from Channel 9 News. It worked out great because she had the perfect house to use for the staging. It was owner occupied and we were able to show packing up the photos, clutter, and then bringing in some key accessories that gave it the "WOW" factor.
The actual filming was fun! The Channel 9 news reporter, Tom McGee and the cameraman, John were great. The actual staging did not take very long because all the planning, organizing, and execution of what goes where was planned beforehand. We had many hours in the project planning & staging design, selecting what to use, and packing it all up. This is all done behind the scenes and clients never see this part.
After the filming, my assistant Rebecca and I finished up staging the dining, morning room and master bedroom. The homeowner Lori was so excited at the transformation. Later she had friends and neighbors come over and they loved the staging. I'm sure potential buyers will react the same way!
A special thanks goes out to Tom McKee of Channel 9-WCPO news for putting together such a fantastic news story about staging your home in today's market. It was a wonderful opportunity for Stage a Star to be featured and we are very grateful and thankful!
