The temperatures during the month of June sizzled and so did the New Hampshire housing market.
June was the 19th straight month of year-over-year increases in sales of homes and condos statewide, according to the New Hampshire Association of REALTORS® (NHAR).
For single family homes, the year-to-date closed sales were up 9.8% over 2012. The median sales price increased 5.9% and the sales volume was up 12.5%.
The total number of days on the market was down 11.6% and new listings rose 6.6%.
The percentage of list price received was 95.5%, an increase of 0.7% from the same 6 month period last year.
For Sellers who have been waiting for the market to improve, it may be a good time to consider selling. The inventory is down and buyer demand is strong.
For Buyers, the interest rates remain historically low and the prices are still affordable.
Condo sales experienced a 12.6% gain in closed sales.
The median sales price rose 5.5 %, and the sales volume was up 18.8%. The days on the market fell 8.7% and new listings were up 4%.
The percentage of list price received was 96%; an increase of 0.7% over 2012.

Recently, the interest rates have gone up, but they continue to remain historically low. Home prices are beginning to go up, but homes remain affordable, making it a good time for Buyers to Buy.
Sellers in Southern New Hampshire who prepare their homes and price them for the current market are selling their homes more quickly and in some cases, are getting multiple offers. IT IS A GOOD TIME TO SELL.
