The Importance of Saying Thank You In Real Estate
How often do you receive a Thank you note? If you are like me, it is very rare! But consider this, of all the people you come in contact with each week while doing your business, how many do you want to make a lasting impression on?
Thank you notes used to be a popular thing when you received a gift, say a birthday or graduation gift. I remember my mother insisting we wrote out all our Thank You knows from graduation before we could spend a penny. We had no problem getting them written quickly. Well, with social media and email now, real, handwritten notes have become a thing of the past. Well it’s time to bring that back and make the people in your life feel special.
In Real Estate saying “Thank You” is easy. Show another agent’s listing? Send them a quick thank you, especially if they went above and beyond to get the showing set up for you. Have a new buyer? Send them a thank you for choosing you to represent them in what might be one of the biggest decisions in their lives. Did a past client refer you to a friend or family member? Be sure to thank them as you definitely want them to continue to share your information.
In the world today it’s important to share encouraging words with everyone you come in contact with because you just don’t know what’s going on in their life. We can only hope it becomes contagious! So grab a stack of thank you notes and just think for a moment who you should thank today!
