It's that time of year! Now that the chaos of Tax Free weekend has passed, we are quickly approaching the start of a new school year. The Cornelius Police Department is hosting a "Pack the Patrol Car" with school supplies for this upcoming year. August 1st through the 22nd, CPD police are inviting the community to get involved with donating school supplies for our local schools.
Supplies can be dropped off Monday through Friday from 8am to 5pm in the lobby of the Cornelius Police Department at 21440 Catawba Avenue. On Friday, August 23 officers will deliver the donated school supplies to the four local CMS schools (Cornelius Elementary, J.V. Washam Elementary, Bailey Middle School and Hough High School) in Cornelius.
