Over the years, I've come across quite a few people that give home warranties as closing gifts to their clients. At the same time, I've also heard enough people say something like 'those things are worth the paper they are written on' to describe the value of a home warranty. Of course, insurance is one of those things you don't need until you need it, right?
Which side of the coin do you fall on? Do you think home warranties are a must have for everyone buying a resale? Or would that money be better spent somewhere else?
How many of you out there use home warranties with your clients? Or suggest that your clients should get a home warranty? Or maybe you use it as a negotiating tactic and you encourage your sellers to offer a home warranty to help ease the buyers mind when you're getting really close to mutual agreement?
