Northfield Home Sales and Market report for Year to Date 2013

As a homeseller in Northfield, it's not been a bad year. Total sales were up slightly, but home prices jumped remarkably - by almost 18%!. There was pent up buyer demand from Northfield Market Report Year to Date 2013 several years of a drought real estate market and that will continue for a while.

Condo sales were also up slightly, both in total numbers and price.

Sales were quick with many homes having at least two offers, some with many more. Buyers were ready with loan approvals in hand and a determined disposition to buy. Rates were below 4% for most of the year until June when they crept up into the 4s where they should stay for a while.

There is still a lack of inventory and well-priced homes are selling fairly quickly. August is upon us and home sales traditionally slow down until after Labor Day weekend.
