Catch the Cowboys Games at these Dallas Watering HolesIn just a few short weeks, the NFL season returns and the Cowboys will return to their stadium in Irving. They're taking on the Bengals on August 24 in one of their last pre-season games before the regular season starts on September 8.

Even the most die-hard fans with a perfect set-up get tired of watching games at their Dallas homes, so if you're looking for somewhere to catch the game this season, here's a look at some of Dallas' best watering holes for cheering on the cowboys. Best of all, the beer is cold, you can watch a variety of games simultaenously, and the mess is someone else's problem at the end of a long Sunday.

Stan’s Blue Note on Greenville Avenue: On any given Sunday, you'll find Stan's Blue Note packed with rowdy groups of Cowboys fans. If you have a large group yourself, consider making your plans early and renting out the upstairs section of Stan's. This is generally where the loudest and craziest fans tend to sit, and if it hasn't been reserved by a group, you'll likely find that it's one of the rowdiest places in the house.

Bryan Street TavernThis place is a tried and true hole-in-the-wall, but that doesn't detract from the fact that it's a sports bar through and through. When the weather cools down, bring your four-legged fan along with you; the back patio is dog friendly and also has TVs. The food here is simple but perfect for a football game, and they have a long list of Texas beers on tap to quench your thirst while you root for the Cowboys.

The Owner's BoxDowntown, Dallas home owners know that The Owner's Box (aptly named) is the best place to watch a Cowboys game. For the majority of the year, it's busiest on weekdays and during the lunch hour. But this hotel bar (it's in the Omni) turns into a fabulous place to catch a Cowboys game during the season. And best of all, if you happen to be rolling solo, you can pretty much bet you'll never be alone here.

ChristiesOne of the most eclectic mixes of fans can be found at Christies, with young ladies sipping on low-calorie cocktails and rowdy men screaming at the TVs as they swig their beer. The tables in the middle of the bar are always packed with Cowboys fans, so if you're not a die-hard football lover, chances are, you'll find your stride at Christies.

Frankie’sIf you're a football fan who likes to hoot and holler on foot, Frankie's is the place to be. Don't expect to sit down at what's generally regarded as Dallas' best sports bar. Located in Uptown, it's a great place for single fans to commingle with like-kind individuals. Be on the lookout for owner Bill Katz. He's been known to burst into the bar during games toting team flags.

Milo ButterfingersIf you're looking for a university bar, Milos Butterfingers near SMU is a college watering hole that slings pitchers of beers on the cheap. It's nothing fancy, but if you're looking for a place to get rowdy, rough, and show the Cowboys your stuff, there's no better place in the Metroplex.
