I must admit, when my Aunt picked Utah for our family reunion this year I wasn't exactly overcome with excitement. I'd never been and honestly never really payed that much attention to ever going.
Family from New York, New Jersey, Colorado, Washington and Idaho were all en route to Heber City, UT for a week.
What fun it was! Utah is absolutely gorgeous and our house was just atop this beautiful valley with the mountains in the background. Horses, cows, llamas and other animals filled the fields wagging their tails and making their barnyard noises. The house slept 40 and we all stayed in one spot which is nice. We've done other family reunions where we had condos next to one another but being in one house is something I think we all prefer. It had a game room and movie theater and was a great house for all 30 of us.
We hiked, boated, shopped, went to a carnival, visited Park City, rode this Alpine Slide toboggan thing, played cards, ate a bunch and relaxed. It was so much fun and so relaxing. But the best part was being in the company of my family. I LOVE my family so much and my heart is full!
I have a new found respect for Utah and it's beauty and would recommend it to anyone.
