I really enjoyed this post by Mike West and really identify with his amazement at the poor quality listing pictures on the MLS. Here's the link to Mike's post:

I came across this picture in a MLS listing for a Single Family Residence.

This is the actual house, not an outbuilding. I think I might have listed this as vacant land or made the primary picture one of the view from the home.

Features of this fine home include:

New roof (made entirely of blue tarp).

Air conditioning (though the holes in the plywood walls and removable windows and door).

Low maintenance yard of primarily native growth.

Indoor/outdoor charcoal fueled stove (better than gas or electric) doubles as furnace.

Handicapped accessible with optional plywood board ramp.

Deluxe outdoor sitting area doubles as a driveway.

We've all seen bad listing pics. Care to share any?

Wow I know everyone MLS has to have pictures similar to these. What a great coffee book all those bad mls pictures would be.

Leesa,

I don't remember as this was listed a while ago and I've been saving it to protect the guilty. I think it was under 100K. If you're interested, I also might have some property on 3 Mile Island you might like.

I think that guy used to live up here.  I've seen a couple of his construction projects.  Blue tarp and duct tape... the world would just not be the same without it.
