A fellow real estate agent in another city called yesterday to ask how I got to rank so high on Google for a Sacramento real estate agent in Sacramento. I told him: practice, practice, practice. Just like the Carnegie Hall joke. But it's true. Not only do I work my tail off in real estate, but I write about it every single day, just like clockwork. I don't always cover a real estate-related topic, but real estate generally figures into it because not a day goes by when I'm not doing something fun in real estate. Let's face it, I still answer email even if I'm on vacation.
But real estate, per se, is not really "work" to me. And writing is not work. In fact, one of the reasons I am able to write a blog every day is because I feel compelled to write a blog every day. That's what writers do. We write. We must.
Being a top-producing Sacramento real estate agent is just cherry cream cheese icing on a Devil's Food chocolate cake. I love the real estate business. I am generally an early adopter of new real estate technology but not every client knows how to use a computer or has email. Low or no-tech clients can present a dilemma. I have an answer for that.
