Trading Properties??? Moving Up or Going Down?

By
Real Estate Agent with Better Homes Realty
California, as we all know has MAJOR foreclosure issues these days.  I just was reading about an initiative that some Realty agencies are doing there to help the inventory move and to get buyers to buy quicker.  They are saying that a lot of people are ready willing and able to buy, HOWEVER, it's the selling of their current property in order to buy that is keeping them from moving forward. So this "initiative" to hook up homesellers who have properties that another would be interested in are connected and they "trade" homes, so to say.  My question is, does anyone do this here in New Jersey?  How can I get into doing this?  It sounds like a good idea to me.

Leslie, I recently read a post where they talked about a company that has had great success with this concept. If I happen to run by that post I will forward it to you.

I have seen this marketing campaign here in CA also. One thing that use to be a lot more common, was Swing Loans, that would allow someone to buy a home and get a swing loan to cover until their other home sold, but I do not see that happening much anymore here. Lance
