You. That may be the greatest gift to a client.

The other day I was standing in line at the store.  It just happened to be during one of those rush hour times where all the lanes were full and every shopper seemed to have more than 30 items.  The lady infront of me looked at me and my armful of 5 items.  Her coment was "Oh, please go ahead of me.  Your time is as valuable as mine".  How does this relate to referrals?

It got me thinking about time.  Time is valuable.  We all know it and realize it.  When we choose to spend it with someone, that is a compliment.  Maybe one of the highest compliments that we can give.  So the next time you drag your feet to make the call to a past client or do a pop-by because you don't want to be a bother, just remember that you are giving the gift of your time.  That is invaluable not to mention, very thoughtful.

Isn't great to have absolute strangers that care like that? I try to pay it forward everytime something like that happens. Heck, I try before I have to pay it forward. Although there was this one time...at a $1 store, A lady had opened the door, I went through and said "thank you" and she yelled back at me and said, "It wasn't for YOU!" ROAR!

Very good reminder, Dawn.  I try to get by and see clients, but then when I don't do it, I feel guilty.  Not only is it a good practice for our business, but also for our relationships.

Thanks for your post.

I did a pop by yesterday and my client said "Don't be so long to come back for another visit."  Wow, that is a powerful tool!

I try to give as much of myself as possible.  I think that is why my customers like me. Besides for being a great agent.

Dawn,  I believe that the popbys force us, unknowingly, to be face to face with our database.  This past tour of popbys, I added some of my B's.  I picked up two listings:)  Everytime we work to please and help our clients, it comes back at you in a good way.  Does Buff say 7 popbys a week?  We should all be doing that!

It's a Good Life!
