The Annual Route 11 Yard Sale Crawl.

Managing Real Estate Broker with Cornerstone Business Group Inc 0225086119

The Frederick and Shenandoah County portions of Rt 11 South are a yard sale dream come true today.  If you're a bargain hunter, hop in the car and travel the 43 miles of yard sales going on Saturday, August 10, 2013 from 7:00 am til the sellers close up shop. The yard sale begins at Stephens City, VA and travels all the way south to New Market, VA.

The Route 11 Yard Crawl has become an annual event in the valley, and it draws people from all around, including other states. The sellers have everything from the typical toys and clothes to craft items, World War II memorabilia, NASCAR souvenirs, and a seemingly unlimited host of other treasures. It's a great time to drive through the valley and see the beauty, and maybe you'll pick up a bargain or two.

Good morning Mike. Sounds just wonderful to me and I wish I were closer: I'd be there in a heartbeat. On my bucket list is theworlds largest garage sale. Don't feel you need to get me anything. Enjoy the day.

Sheila, it's funny, people will actually be out before sunset with flashlights looking through stuff as people are setting up. It's a crazy event.

The Yard Sale Crawl must be a growing, and much appreciated event Mike. The yard sale sounds like it would be good for those like me that don't want to drive all over town.  :)

Mike, I'd never heard of this event before, it sounds really popular. Talk about an early start! I hope the rain doesn't put a damper on things!

I need to come visit the Rt. 11 yard sale one year (quite possibly I would have to bring a truck or trailer), Mike. Lots of treasures, I am sure...
