Is Your Market Already "Back To The Peak"?

A Zillow report is being reported on that suggests that the housing market will be back to "the peak" prices by 2017.  I'm not sure if that means countrywide, internationally or perhaps just the last areas which were totaled by the Great Recession will back to the "peak" prices.  In the Boston area I am sure many brokers would agree that the 2008 prices have been surpassed long ago, and I would also guess that brokers in other parts of the country would agree with that as well. I would also say that not all price ranges of property have faired equally well. The ultra-high-end of the market may not be at those peak levels while the low and mid price ranges have been.

If you read the article it is also interesting to note that the "experts" come up with appreciation figures for every year until 2017 and the article does not break down the rationale for those different appreciation numbers.

How is your market doing?

James, our market has improved, but I do not believe we are close to being back at the peak.
