Is Active Rain Worth the Cost?

Where else can you obtain a higher return on your marketing efforts, plus enjoy a steady flow of educational classes and exchange of relevant real estate happenings?  If it's out there, I haven't found it.

Yes, it's a good investment and worth it!!  And, after 500,000 pts. the membership is Free -- but that was last I checked.  I don't think they've changed that policy.

I agree, and as long as you know how to use it properly it can be a very successful tool.

Active Rain is good for business but it is equally good as an education forum to further my porfessionalism and ability to be a good realtor. We have some great realtors wirting some great blogs of information.  Thanks

I couldn't have said it better! You cannot attach a cost to the huge value of being on AR, IMO - the learning, friendships, and of course the business. But it was a good question to ask!

Maria, I have also had other agents call me because they Googled a neighborhood and my name popped up. I love it when that happens. Agents just don't get it. They will throw hundreds, maybe even thousands of dollars in an attempt to rank on Google, when all they really need to do is sit down and write.

SEO costs so much money when you compare it to the cost of blogging via ActiveRain.

I haven't really seen any positive results yet but I'm hanging in there.Any advice from the rain? Just keep blogging!

I have been an Active rain Member since August of 2011. There are a whole lot of posts on the net from my posting on the Active Rain Network.

Many times I have buyers tell me that they saw a post that was on the net and wanted me to inspect their new home to buy.

The SEO generated from ActiveRain is truly amazing.  Worth every penny you spend on it.

I have said many times that you get a lot of "juice" from an authority site like Active Rain. Only RainMaker posts get the "dofollow" treatment! A free member can ride on the coattails of a Rainmaker, however you don't have total control over the subjects. The paid membership puts you in control of the items you want your prospective clients to see and become the true local authority - with a huge push by the Active Rain juice machine! 

Active Rain is certainly an investment that takes a lot of work, but the rewards are definitely priceless.  I think that it is great that you can directly track where your clients are coming from and you can let sellers know that your blogging is working.  Great job!
