Kentucky Fried Retirement and Relocation Information

Moving to Kentucky to retire? Do you have a dream to live on a Kentucky Horse Farm? Have you always dreamed of owning some beautiful land with creeks and trees?  Relocation to Kentucky may be just the right adventure for you and your family.

It's starting to be amazing just how many people are contacting me to get information to relocate to Kentucky.

They aren't wanting to come here just to work. They are thinking of retiring here. Some of them have stopped in at one time or another on a trip down I-75 and have seen our secret. (The secret that is no longer a secret).

I've always called it the land where time stands still. Life moves a little slower here. People are helpful and polite. We do consider ourselves Southern and have many variations of an accent.

The place where I have seen the biggest influx of people is Madison County. I was talking with Richmond Mayor Connie Lawson about the population growth of the county. She said it was up 11.5% compared to 4.1% in other counties. It was the fastest growing community in the whole state. I can believe it!

There is an amazing amount of construction going on here with a new shopping complex (Richmond Centre) and a new exit on I-75. Now there are 7 exits on the highway just in Madison County. Many more subdivisions have been added in the past year also. There are 110 sales pending on properties this month.

Many people are starting to arrive here to work at the Alltech FEI World Equestrian Games for 2010 in Lexington, KY. This event is going to be huge! Kentucky will represent the largest equestrian sporting event ever held in the United States. It is estimated that 600,000 people will be here for the 16 day event.

All of Central Kentucky is a prime retirement location. There's nothing like the rolling hills and black horse plank fencing. Many who visit will be back to buy property here. Maybe it will be you!

Shannon - I find it really interesting that so many are considering a move to Kentucky after they have spent their whole lives in another state. Not so many are set in their ways. Change can be a good thing. I enjoy helping them achieve their dream home here. You can too!

Karen - Exactly that! Retirement in NC, SC, KY, TN and VA is fast becoming a meca for aging baby-boomers. They have made a lot of money in their careers (paid off their homes)and come here and buy with cash.
