Home Staging Tips on a Budget

This is such good advice and needs to be posted over and over again! Simple and smart. 

Great tips and great blog. I should do this even though my house isn't up for sale!

I am glad to see such good suggestions about home staging on a "budget".   Budget is the key word for a lot of people and I believe it is important that people realize staging can be done in an economical way.

Congrats on the feature. Some very sensible cost effective tips to selling that can go a long way to helping getting your home sold. 

Declutter, cut all the non-essentials by 1/2 at least.  Takes no money to make your home sparkle.

Great post.  People are always looking to see what they can do on a budget or for free.

Great tips, Clean, clean, clean. I wish every seller would go on a vacation before selling, then come home with a fresh look. Always see thing differently when you haven't been there in a while.

Erika, I love budget friendly tips.  Decluttered, clean and manicured helps a home to sell every time!

De-Clutter is the cheapest and least expensive thing one can do.  I think people get so used to their surroundings that they do not see how much clutter they have accumulated.

No matter what the budget, use a home stager to help with the sale of your home. It is critical that people feel comfortable in a home showing, and that clutter is gone, and the rooms show big.

Staging a home both on the outside and inside are critical in making your property look nice.  Anything you can do that doesn't cost much should be a no-brainer for any would-be home seller.  It can only help them sell their home faster, and potentially for more money.

Erika- Decluttering and de-personalizing are 2 of the most valuable things sellers can do.

Great reminders of what the home owners can do themselves, and in the process look at their home more objectively.  Although I have seen homes where decluttering went too far and the homes look sterile and uninviting.  It is a hard balance between the two to get the sellers to depersonalize and still make the home have that "feel home" sense. Such simple advice!  Things that can easily be done even before the listing appointment.  I've had sellers make these changes and then wonder why they hadn't been living like that all along :)
