Make sure your real estate blogs get found online.

In the first class in our boot camp series, we discuss the things you want to make sure to include in your blog posts in order to give them the best chance to rank in the search engines.

If your goal is to get your content to rank on the first page of Google (and really any search engine) and to attract potential consumers to your blog, this class is required learning. Below the recording are the action items (also known as homework) that you can download to give yourself some practice putting into use what we learn in the class. Below that is a couple of links that we mention in the class that teach you how to do a few of the things we discuss.

Hi,

I have a question about the blog phrase SEO stuff.

If I make a post about "Houses in Austin under $100k" does it matter in search whether i use $100k or 100k?  Does the "$" make a difference?

Also i'm not sure if you guys have ever used the SEO Yoast plugin on wordpress, but for some reason when I plug in the phrase "Houses in Austin under" it works, but if i add the $100k onto the phrase, then it says the phrase is not found.  Is that just on the plugin?  Or does the $ screw something up in google as well?

Thanks!

Gregory,

Google doesn't make much of a distinction between $100K and $100,000 or 100K.

If I was doing the blog post and picking a keyword phrase, I would use $100,000

But if someone was doing a search and used 100K, google would still read $100,000 as 100K. Heck, they can tell that condo and condominium are the same word, I'm sure they know the difference between 100K and $100K or $100,000

Thanks for the checklist (be sure to spell correctly; Example 3: "stainless steal" probably isn't going to be very effective).  Good info!
