It must be that time again? Oh yeah that's right, school is about to start soon and people are trying to move before it starts. Great, I applaud you for wanting to move before the beginning of school year. That can be a hectic time as one begins the shopping for school supplies; yes I know.
Now let's get to you wanting to either rent or purchase a home in a certain neighborhood. You will need to have a certain amount of money (even with zero down programs), and you should be current with at least most of your bills. Renting you'll need three months up-front for a first, last, and security deposit.
Before contacting an agent about your move, be sure to have your credit in order, yes you should have your credit checked every year, and money stashed away somewhere. Calling around to several agents expecting to receive a different outcome is a definition for insanity. Your finances are your finances, you are accountable for them, no one else is.
Real estate agents can help in finding you a home, consult in giving you sound advice about the market, however we can not change your current financial situations, only you can.
