Mystery ActiveRain Meet-Up @ Peek 'n Peak Solved.
Bob Miller from Ocala, Florida, Mary Yonkers and husband Dave, Erie, PA met at the Tavern on the Tee restaurant and lounge at Peek 'n Peak.
I grew up in Dunkirk, New York and Mary and Dave reside in Erie Pa., so Peek 'n Peak was a great half-way point for all.
Thanks to Mary for the invite, this was my first Meet-up. But it won't be the last!
Recently Kerrie LaGuardia announced the locations for ActiveRain's summer Meet-Ups.
This Mystery ActiveRain Meet-Up at Peek 'n Peak didn't make Kerrie's list & the time frame did fit AR's requirements. Being the independent people we are, Mary & I decided to make our own plans for a Mystery ActiveRain Meet-Up.
We had great discussions about Dave's career in the Navy and our various travels around the world - mine not as inclusive as Dave's. And I learned of Mary's passion for teaching the Pennsylvannia real estate licensing course. Ironically, my business partner and I are teaching our first real estate course.

When two or more ActiveRain members meet that's an ActiveRain Meet-Up. These can be great local events with an opportunity for Active Rain members to meet for the first time, or just network.
Mary Yonkers and husband Dave have taken this concept to a new dimension. As they travel about the country, they have a "Meet-up" with Rainers they had only previously known on line. Both Mary & I think this should be a whole new category for Active Rain Meet-ups. What a fabulous way to meet new people and share your common bond of blogging.
Maybe there could even be contest for who travels the furthest, makes the most new Meet-ups, etc.!
