Hello,

Here is a link to a great article from the Charlotte Observer about the housing trends in the Charlotte area compared to the national real estate market.

Here are a few interesting excerpts from the article:

"Sales of homes, condos and townhouses through Carolina Multiple Listing Services totaled 38,610 last year. The average closing price was $231,166, up about 2 percent from the year before."

"Nationally, home sales dipped almost 13 percent last year, compared with 2006, and the median price fell 1.4 percent."

Sara -

That's fantastic, Sara - your market is vibrant, in my opinion, because homes, on the main, are within the reach of the average buyer in your area, speculation and greed have yet to run rampant, and you have a good pool of quailty buyers that are financially well-qualified.

Not true for those areas of the country where incredible speculation, and the feeling that good times will continue unabated, forever, fueled the fire!

Sometimes, acting sensibly has it's payout!
