Almost Wordless Sunday - Pictures from Hakone, Japan

We were very fortunate to have the opportunity to travel to Japan for our 15TH wedding anniversary. I will be the first to admit I was not too excited before we left to make this trip as one of my former employers was a Japanese based oil trading group and working there was no fun at all. I will not go into details but I had developed a bad attitude about Japan and its people based the group I has spent 17 months as an employee.

I have to say I was completely overwhelmed by both Japan and its people. We went to both Tokyo and Hakone. We had a great time and we found the people to very friendly, warm and extremely helpful. Service from local residents in Hakone was almost too much as they waited on us hand and foot. I now highly recommend traveling to Japan for pleasure or business.

Below are some of my pictures from Hakone which is a resort area about 80 - 90 miles from Tokyo. It is a very interesting and beautiful place.

Hi Bob - I had the same experience in Japan on my two trips - the people couldn't have been friendlier or more helpful. And it's a beautiful place, with interesting history, excellent food and great scenery.
