Even with the improvement of the market...I am have witnessed a rise of abandoned homes within the county. More and more homeowners are walking away from their property at an alarming rate. Homeowners need to understand that walking away from your home will do more harm than good. Lenders are more susceptible to completing a short sale with the homeowner in the home, homeowners are receiving relocation fees, and short sales are being approved in a shorter amount of time (every transaction varies). So, the odds are in the distressed homeowners' favor to complete a short sale.
