A recent Harris poll of homebuyers initiated by Trulia.com shows that the biggest worries for today's homebuyers are:
1. Mortgage interest rates will rise before I buy
2. Home prices will rise before I buy
3. I will not find a home for sale that I like
4. I will not qualify for a mortgage
5. I will have to compete with many other buyers for the home I want most
6. Home prices will fall after I buy
7. I will have to decide on a home very quickly because homes for sale are not staying on the market for long.
While these are legitimate concerns, there are ways to minimize these worries. Don't be paralyzed by #2) Home prices will rise before you buy combined with 6) Homes prices will fall after you buy! In most cases, once you find a way to buy a home, in the long run, you will be much better off than had you continued to rent.
