My real estate team purchased an audio copy of the Millionaire Real Estate Agent book. It seems that's the whole way to read a book now...by listening to it.
I have only made it through the first chapter so far...but it stated several interesting things so far. One such interesting fact is that we tend to aim low....or set our goals too low. We need to set higher goals, but with that in mind, we need to be prepared. The book told the example of someone wanting to climb Mt. Everest. The climber doesn't set their sights and goals on just getting to base camp. They set their sights on reaching the top. But before the climber even steps foot on the mountain, they plan the entire climb....dangers....risks....everything is planned.
Another great realization is that the real success comes when we can simplify things. Sometimes we waste time, energy, and money on mundane tasks that can be completed simply if we just rework our methods.
Lastly, the book used an example of a farmer who farmed his land for diamonds but didn't find any. So he sold his land to buy new land. The farmer who purchased it the old land, ended up finding hundreds of diamonds. The moral of the story is don't always search for the new...success can be found in your current situation.
I'm excited to see what else this book teaches.
