What.....My Cruise Was Just Canceled
This morning I received a text and a message on my cell phone stating our cruise had been canceled. Of course, I thought it was some mistake but in the back of my mind I remembered a blurb on the morning news about a Celebrity ship stuck in port in Ketchikan, Alaska.
Unfortunately, that was my ship which was taking us to Canada and then back down the western coast of the US. I recall many people on the news this morning were upset with another line who didn't give them plenty of notice so I have no complaint as I was notified within 25 days. The photo above, the Millennium ship is the ship that limped to port 9 hours late last night. I would rather cancel than be out in the ocean and have some major power failure. All cruises on the Millennium between now and September 25, will be canceled.
Well, time to plan my next cruise for 2014. Has anyone ever had this happen to them or been on a ship when it had power problems? It would be very scary as it is a big deep ocean with sharks and killer whales.
