Wordless Wednesday: Summer Blooms
We are in heading into the deep heat of summer here in La Quinta, and when I walked to the mailbox this afternoon I passed these beautiful bouganvilla blooms. They thrive in the heat... and so do I! Hope you are thriving this summer too! Best, Kathy

Kathy, your bouganvilla are beautiful. The only way I can grow them are in pots, and must place them in a sunny window of our garage in the Winter.
I thought these were Bougainvillea's the grow here well too. My father-in-law use to grown them in hanging pots they were so pretty!

Morning Kathy AI hate the cold weather. Between 75-85 degrees is perfect. Anything higher and that's ok but lower did I tell ya I hate cold weather? :)
Hi Kathy -- I'm always amazed that delicate bougainvillea bloom not only survives yet thrives during some of our more sizzling days. Like Alexandra commented, I'm especially fond of the white variety that are much too rare.
