The Burlington County Times voted LeisureTowne as the number One adult-community in Burlington County to retire in. LeisureTowne is a well established community—lovely homes on manicured lawns line the streets and streams and lakes. Take a stroll and enjoy the park like scenery. Property taxes are comparably low; the Association charges a fee of only $67.00 per month for the upkeep of common grounds and common buildings. LeisureTowne is a very Active Retirement community; it offers an exercise room furnished with equipment, swimming pools, putting green, an illuminated shuffleboard complex, illuminated tennis courts, parks with picnic areas, lakes for fishing and boating. Two clubhouses with each a library, a billiard and radio room, serve for various gatherings from parties to lectures and movies. The Association offers free Bus service several days per week for shopping and planned trips. Each month the residents receive 2 magazines in their mailboxes, the “Watchdog” and the “Trustees’ Corner” with noteworthy information for the community; included is a calendar for that month with listings for daily activities from games to exercises, literary clubs, dances and more. What does the Neighborhood offer?
LeisureTowne started in the early seventies by Leisuretech. They built mainly ranch style homes and a few condos. Later other builders continued with ranch style homes; Orleans finished in 2006 with larger ranch styles and ranch styles with loft. Condos have 1 bedroom/ 1 bath or 2 bedrooms 1 bath with square footage of 530” and 840’ and are listed for about $100,000 or less. All single homes have 2 bedrooms and either 1 ½ to 2 bathrooms with a square footage between 800’--the smallest single home--to 1946’ square footage for the largest single home with loft. Listing prices range between $100,000 and upper 200,000. Most of the lots measure around 0.15, some 0.25 acres.

Nestled into rural surroundings, part of the Pinelands, LeisureTowne is close to major highways, Route 70 East and West, intersecting with Route 206 at the Red Lion Circle; Route 206 South leads to the Atlantic City Expressway via Hammonton, Route 206 North leads to Route 38. The nearest grocery shopping is about 8-10 miles distance either Medford Lakes or Medford. Medford offers a Fitness Center, a dog park, entertainment, restaurants and small individual shops for arts and crafts and more. Route 70 West leads to major shopping centers, entertainments and also to the Moorestown and Cherry Hill Mall. Philadelphia is only a short distance away.
