Rules about blogs and comments....AMENDED 7/28/2008

Hello everyone.....

I am not going to come down hard on people.....
BUT...no swearing, sexual inuendo or generally
non-professional blogs here please (ie: NO
BASHING of other members about their
beliefs or lifestyle etc..)

As of 2/19/07 the following RULE is being applied
in addition to the above guide lines:

Please DO NOT blog or comment about distinct denominational preferences in this group...... ONLY biblical principles will be allowed...I do NOT want fights about "grey areas".....ie: holidays, food, special observances etc..... Because of something that has happened inside the Active Rain network this rule has been implemented.

As of 11/12/2008 the following Rule is now in effect:

There will be no political posts allowed in the group
that have inflammatory language OR inflammatory
comments in them. (See my comments about this
later in this post).

This a group dedicated to blogging about
how Christianity relates to our job,
not the other way around.

There is no advertizing of listings,
or services (unless it is a ministry)
allowed in the group.

If your post does not fit the guidelines for the group,
it will be deleted, very simply. The group is WAY to
big for all the red tape we had before. If you do not understand why the post was deleted, then by all
means make changes to it after reading the rules,
and resubmit it.

May our Messiahs lifestyle be exalted to the glory and honor of our Father in heaven!!

This group is NOT for showboats.....rebels (except for those who are radical against evil in all its forms and schemes...hehehe) or troublemakers. In here we are ALL equals.

I know a LOT of people have passionate
feelings about certain things in their lives...
BUT if it does not apply to this group, or is put across in bad taste or with a condescending attitude or holier than thou position, PLEASE do not post it here.

Have fun and the leadership is looking forward to getting to know all of you future group members.

Alexander,

I'd like prayer and I like to pray for others. I've been in real estate one year and I try to do my best for each and every client. Unfortunately, with little training, it isn't always possible to know what "doing my best" is. I'm doing as much as I can to learn as fast as I can, hence I've joined this community. Today was a very frustrating day. i'm hoping tomorow is better. It should be because I'm taking the day off!

I encourage you for your stand to see this sight be used as a blessing to brothers and sisters... we are all part of one body regardless of what denomination we belong to. My personal and I believe biblical stand is that we are all God's children, The word says that God sent His Son for the sins of the world and that means that our sins are not accounted to us until judgement day when we are to give an account for our lives. Thank God on that day God the Father sees us through the price that Jesus paid on the cross! I love the Lord and am thankful for His love for His creation!

Alex, I too want to thank this group for their encouragement, kindness, and thoughtfulness. So you think Diane being a Rebel is OK, and she can stay, that is such a relief because me and Cyndi do drive a Harley you know. Can we stay too? Stick to your guns, you have gotten us this far, (with someone of higher authority) mind you, everything will be alright!

Hehehehe....and don't forget Harley the kitty too!! I would say Harley the kitty is a Christian also.... He saw Jesus in you and climbed to the top of yer head to get a better view of Him......

Hi Alex, I was very excited to find this group when I joined AR. Please don't feel bad if you have to point out when any of us ‘behaves badly', we are all human and can get carried away sometimes. (I'll bet you knew that) I appreciate it when someone sets me straight. (not always right away, you know the pride thing, it can take a while to sink in)(HS: ‘Hello, anybody home? I'm talking to you!')

I also agree with you on arguing about grey areas, this is, in my opinion, just a way the enemy keeps us distracted from Who and what our main focus should be.

I am happy you have taken the time to establish this group and hope to get to know others. I don't think you are a meanie, every flock needs a shepherd. Thanks, Doreen

Just when I was needing a "special Christian REALTOR friend" I received invitation to join this group. Thanks, Alexander--the timing couldn't be better. I'm trying to be clear on your guidelines. It has been a pleasure to discover this blog, Alex. Ethics in real estate is so very important as we Christians well know and are aware of and it seems we encounter some confusion in regards to such, more often than we should.

We are in a very slow market now and both my husband and I are Realtors in a serious financial state. It would be very gracious of you all to remember us and our family in your prayers as we travel through this very trying period of time. Thank you

Hello, I was wondering if a God fearing Mortgage consultant from California can join your group. I am new to the Active Rain community, and this is the first time i stumbled upon other Christians within this community. Alot of people in Southern California could sure use some prayer, particularly for RAIN. The fires in Sothern california have destroyed over 1000 homes and as of an hour ago have claimed 6 lives. It is good to read about Agents whose focus is to further the kindom of God, if you wouldn't mind saying a prayer for our Christian brothers and sisters in Southern CA, it would sure be appreciated. Thank you and God Bless.

I am thankfull that there is a group like this to shine a little light in the places where there is often a need. I have been in business for years and now 2 as a realtor my goal has always been to make an impact for Christ in my market place. I pray that this blog will be a place to come to be energized and encouraged in spirit and mind for facing the world with joy and enthusiasm. This is my joining this group blog.

It is so wonderful to read all of the kind and uplifting comments you make to one another. It was said that you will know them by their love for one another. If you will have me I have decided to join your group. I have been a believer for over 45 years. In this day and time the need to pray for each other is growing more and more important. With the economy going through its adjusting period we need to remember who provides for us. God in his mercy gives us just what we need. Sometimes it is not early, but it is never too late. Some companies that I am in close relationship are really struggling. Pray that the Lord will direct our paths as well as the paths of our clients. Alex, as a former auditor, I like to see and be reminded of the rules. I especially like the fact that you remind us that requests for prayer are enouraged. Prayer is so important. Requests....that is what helps builds a family. We need each other.

My best friend is of a very different faith than me. We both believe in God and we both believe in being honest and ethical and kind to everyone. We both know that LOVE is what it's all about. I just joined this group on January 1st of this year. I would most definitely welcome prayer for the changes I have made in my business this year. I am going Mobile, both to better serve my customers & clients and to reduce overhead expense. I have prayed about this for over a year, however, finally got the answer in December. Of course, once I chose to follow the Lord's will for the business, I have come under attack with fear. I know the word says "Fear Not" and that is the area I would welcome prayer from my Christian family. God Bless! Michelle

I am so glad I found this group. Hello...I would like to request prayer for my Dad today. He is 80 years old, retired minister of the Gospel, and one of my best friends in the world. Agree with me today that he will be healed of this rare form of anemia/cancer/, and his memory is deteriating. Everyday that passes he loses more memory and I feel as though I am losing my confident and advisor. You probably know that I am very weepy writing this today because my "Daddy" is probably one of my biggest encouragers. I am losing my Barnabas. Please agree with me that the Lord will give Daddy Divine health. AMEN AND AMEN
